Professional Learning Offerings

Nurturing growth, relationships and a sense of belonging by fostering strong connections to culture, land and community. Holding space for each step - community‑led, culture‑fed learning.

We were incredibly honoured to welcome Angie to our school as a Métis speaker. Her visit was nothing short of enlightening, uplifting, and deeply meaningful. Angie shared her experiences of growing up Métis with such warmth and openness that we immediately felt at ease, creating a space where we could ask questions and engage in genuine conversation. She introduced us to invaluable resources, including those available through the Métis Nation of Ontario, read-alouds that support representation, and kits that can enhance learning in our classrooms. We were particularly inspired by the insights she shared about Crow Shield Lodge and the opportunities within our community to continue this important learning. Angie’s knowledge and passion left a lasting impact on us. We are excited to carry this conversation forward, ensuring continued representation and understanding in our schools. We are so grateful for the wisdom, stories, and connections she shared with us, and we look forward to deepening our learning together.
